A heavy wet snow is expected to impact the Carolinas beginning late Thursday night and lasting into the overnight hours Friday. By the time it is done, some mountain locations may see 4-8 inches of snow. Outside the mountains, 1-4 inches of snow is expected from the Catawba Valley to the Triad.
