March has arrived with the same song and dance, and it looks like there is a good chance of above average precipitation lasting into March.
Western and central locations have already seen 150-200% more precipitation than normal in February, and this trend looks to continue through March. Southeastern NC has seen substantially less precipitation than normal, with some areas receiving just a few inches of rain so far this year.
The National Weather Service has placed much of the Carolinas under a 50% chance of receiving above average precipitation this month. With this amount of rain, flooding may become an issue.
Additionally, we are expecting an equal chance of above or below average temperatures. Overall, it appears temperatures are expected to be near average for March 2019.
